Organic Design Elements

Given the house’s natural surroundings, eco-friendliness and sustainability were key focuses in its design. A combination of architectural strategies and energy efficient systems and equipment were used to help reduce the building’s environmental footprint.

Serene Environment

Sitting in the centre of a ten acre bush surroundings and featured with a 12 meter private heated infinty swimming pool with an extra shallow area specially for children. Guests can enjoy sundowners and star gazing at the rooftop terrace as well as BBQ’s at the fire pit. After a long day out on a day of safari in the many conservancies in Laikipia, have a massage in the open-air massage room, and enjoy dinner made by your own private chef.

The House

Zamani house is spread over two floors, comfortably accommodating 10 adults and two children in 5 dreamy bedrooms all en suite. Two bedrooms are on ground floor with their own private wing, which have flexibility to be interconnected as a family room- perfect for families with kids. They also have their own private veranda and garden access. Three are on mezzanine level-of which two have Juliet balconies, an amazing spot to take in all the far and wide views. Indoors, an eclectic mix of furniture and art pieces collected from years of world travels fill the rooms. Guests can unwind on the shaded main veranda, curl up with a book in the library, have a dinner party in the dining room, or enjoy a drink next to the fireplace in the main lounge.

Children will enjoy a tone of activities including board games, movies, arts and crafts, activity booklets, and kids books from the library.

Set on a slope, and with exceptional views of the snow- capped Mount Kenya on one side, Lol Daiga hills, the Aberdare Forest and lake views on the other, Zamani Bush House is situated on one of the most picturesque and serene parts of malaria-free Nanyuki.
